This Master Shower in Bonita Springs, FL Was Enhanced after a Grout Recoloring Service
January 03, 2017
This homeowner from the Sunshine State gave us a call after searching online for grout recoloring services in Bonita Springs
. She had recently purchased an apartment in this coastal city and, as part of the purchase agreement, the previous owner had promised to take care of the master shower, which was in a less-than-acceptable state at the moment of the closing. The only thing our client had to do was find a company that could restore the bathroom within a reasonable budget. After browsing the web and discussing her options with friends, she decided to contact Sir Grout SW Florida to get a free evaluation and estimate.
On the day of the evaluation, we explained to her that the shower needed a thorough cleaning, grout recoloring, and tile and grout sealing service. She explained to us that she was worried that the shower couldn't even be fixed with a professional service and that it would need to be fully renovated. We assured her that once we had finished our job, the shower would look as good as new. Even though the shower's walls and floor were dirty, the grout lines were in good shape, so a deep cleaning, recoloring, and sealing would be enough to renew the shower. She was pleased with our evaluation and contacted the former owner to present the estimate, which he approved, so a date was set to do the job.
To get this master shower looking like new again, we started by performing a thorough cleaning, applying a pH-neutral, non-toxic cleaner to the shower walls and floor and using a gentle, high-speed scrubber to remove all the dirt stuck to the tile and grout. After that, we used a vapor steam cleaner to get rid of the dirt most stubbornly attached to the surface. As we had noted on the day of the evaluation, the grout lines were in very good shape, so no repairs were necessary. Therefore, we proceeded to ColorSeal the wall's grout lines to make them look evenly colored. The shower's floor was sealed using Epoxy ColorSeal; this is essential when restoring bathrooms' grout lines, to protect them against water damage, stains, and mold and mildew buildup. After that, we buffed on Tile Armor over the entire shower to seal both tiles and grout, protecting them against stains and spills. This product is also non-toxic, which makes it safe for the entire family, including pets.
Once we finished, the homeowner was delighted to see the results. She was amazed at how the shower was transformed and thanked us for a job well done. She told us she was slightly skeptical about getting the results that we had anticipated, but now all her faith had been restored. We explained to her how she should care for the area to maximize the durability of our work, mentioning that she should always clean it with a pH-neutral, soapless cleaner. We also told her that, since the bathroom is a particularly damp area, it should always be properly ventilated to prevent stain-causing mildew and other fungi. We also told her that if she ever forgot any of our indications, she could always go to the tile and grout care tips
section on our website.
